Did you like the book? Explain why or why not. Whether you liked or disliked the book, what part of the book did you like the most? How do you feel about Sam Westing? Did you like or dislike him? Explain.
I did like the book. Even though the beginning was boring the announcement of the "Westing Game" made things mysterious and exciting. The most fun part is when the identity of the murderer, burglar, and the bomber were discovered. I don't really like Sam Westing because he makes a game to find out his murderer cruelly and scares the characters out of their minds.

Honestly I didn't like the book for the first few chapters then it got exciting so I did like. The part I like the most is when they figured out all the clues. Samuel Westing was a cruel person. He did all this just to find his killer. People could've gotten hurt or killed. This also brought the worst out of some people.

It had a slow start so I thought it would be boring, but then it got to the will and I just got more and more anxious to read the next chapter, so yes I did like the book , I really liked the book! If I'd have to pick one of my favorite parts I'd pick the bombs, it added so much excitement and rumors about who set them off, you would never think that Angela set them off, well except for the elevator bomb, that was Turtle. Samuel W. Westing has many sides of him, he can be nice, or cruel, or a salesman. I wouldn't say I disliked Samuel W. Westing, I liked how he made a game and made people believe that he was dead. Yes, people could've gotten hurt or killed, but he was to smart, he had every single thing planned out he knew what was going to happen.

Yes, I did like the book. I liked that you had to solve a mystery and that the book kept you changing your mind about who killed Sam Westing. I part of the book I liked most was the ending when you found out that Sam Westing was actually four different people. I liked the character of Sam Westing because he brought together people who would not have normally connected together. He put the characters together on the teams that they would not have chosen, but in the end everyone benefited in one way or another from their teams.

The book had a slow start and I thought how am I ever going to finish this reading assignment? But then Turtle discovered the body in the Westing house and saw the waxy figure again at the reading of the will. I felt then that Sam Westing wasn't really dead. Finding the body in that creepy house was my favorite part because it got my attention. As far as Sam Westing goes, I think I like him. He brought together people and they learned from each other. In the end they all became more successful and this may not have happened if it wasn't for his game. However, he could have used a less terrifying method to bring out their strengths.

I liked the book after the slow beginning especially when they discovered Turtle was the bomber, or when everyone started putting together the pieces to the puzzle and finished the Westing game. My favorite part was when turtle got busted for the bombings and no one trusted her afterward. I liked Sam Westing because he found a way to make his death a literal game involving the heirs and a prize for the heir who won the game.

I think that the Westing Game is a good book. It has a lot of mysteries, tricks, and secrets. Yes, I liked the book because it reminded me that people always have secrets. Even the people with the pretty faces. I liked the part where Turtle was figuring out all the clues because it taught me that the youngest of the people can be the smartest. Sam Westing was a good, patriotic, old man. I liked Sam Westing because he tricked everyone into thinking that he was dead and that he was not Sandy and/or Barney.

I liked the book because of all the mystery. My favorite part was that Sam Westing was still alive. I liked Sam Westing because he was confusing.

At the beginning I thought the book was very... boring. But after the spooky story that Otis and Sandy told I liked it. My favorite part was probably when you found out that the bomber was Angela! You never would have guessed. Do I like Sam Westing? That depends, I don't like Sam Westing or Barney Northrup. I do like Sandy McSouthers and Mr.Eastman though. Sam Westing was just so cruel in my opinion. He was a mean old man and he wanted the heirs to believe that one of them was a murderer.

Sorry I forgot this part. The reason that I liked was because you had to kinda figure out the mystery as you read and as soon as you thought you had the answer every thing would change. It really keeps you on your toes.

I didn't like the beginning of the book because it was so slow. In the middle and end of the book, I began to like it more because it started to reveal the mystery. Turtle was my favorite character and I really liked when she solved the mystery. I liked Sam Westing because he is such a tricky and clever person. It was interesting to find out how all of their lives turned out after the mystery was solved.

I liked the book a lot although the beginning was kind of boring but then it got good when it got to the mystery part because I really like solving mysteries. I liked how Sam was very smart and made it more confusing. As I was reading the book i began to try to solve it myself and it was really fun. Once i got near the end then I wasn't able to stop reading it. I liked how they made great impacts on each others lives.

To me, I thought the book was just ok. I say this because some parts were kind of boring, like when Barney Northrup was selling the condos. Other parts were exciting, like when everyone was reading their clues and trying to figure out who the murderer was. My favorite part was when Turtle was interrogating everyone in the court session at the Westing house.

I actually thought that Sam Westing was really clever. After all, he did pull of a great mystery and portrayed several people very convincingly.

The book started really slow but by the end of in all it got really good. My favorite part was when turtle found out where Sam Westing was. Yes I did like Sam Westing he was very cunning and thought about everything
I liked the book a lot. The first chapter made it look like the book was going to be boring. Once I got to the part where Sandy told Turtle and the others about the Westing Mansion, I changed my mind. My favorite part was when you found out that Angela was the bomber. At first I didn't understand it, but once I read it over again I finally realized that she was the bomber. It was so unexpected! Yes I did like Sam Westing. He wasn't a bad person. He brought a lot of people together in an unexpected way. He was right to think that they were the perfect pairs. He had different identities, but they were for a good reason. In the end he created a game that benefited a lot of people(the heirs).

i didn't like it wasn't doing anything that makes a book good at least in my opinion. for starters it took to long to get the plot started it should start by the fifth chapter. the entire book was just a way to make new and unnecessary plot points. just before we find out who did anything the book ruins the bit that makes it tense by telling you who it is before they even get to the good part.when i found out who did it i couldn't care less because its hard to like a single character.

I liked the book. I liked all the mysteries behind the game. It was always really fun to try to pick out who was the murderer. I thought it was cool how he disguised himself, and killed off his identity's. Sam Westing seemed like someone who loved to have have fun and mess around with people, but wanted to help others.

I did like the book. Although at first it was boring and confusing, but as I kept reading I liked it more and more. The part I liked the most was when all the clues were found and they solved everything. Honestly I liked Sam Westing because he was smart and creative. At the same time I don't like him because he is cruel.
I really enjoyed reading The Westing Game. I usually don’t read mystery books, but I am glad this one was assigned because I found out that I liked the plot twists and being involved in the story by trying to find and solve clues to the mystery. It really was like playing a game while reading a book. My favorite part of the book was when you find out what happened to all the characters years after the game was played. Some stories just end and you are left wondering what happened to all the characters, but this one tells the complete story and you feel like the end is really the end and you aren’t left hanging.
Sam Westing seemed to be a complicated character. If I consider the number of enemies he seemed to have and the things they said about him, I would probably not really think he was a nice man. However, getting to know him at the later part of his life, I really did like him. I think he lived his life a certain way before, but came to realize what really was important and he wanted to make up for the mistakes he had made and the people he had hurt. It seems to me that he did something that he loved to do (play a strategy game) in a way that could make each of their lives better (with money, but especially with new friendships).

I didn't like the book. I think it was very boring. the only four parts I liked were the bombings. I don't know how I feel about Sam Westing. He was kind of cruel, but he paid for two educations.

I did not like the book because it did not interest me. I don't like riddles and I don't like having to solve things. I like books that have more action in them. The part that I did like was when the characters found out they were part of a game that had a 200 million dollar prize. I liked Sam Westing because he was mysterious.
